Apoquel is a medication prescribed for dogs to manage itching and inflammation associated with various allergic skin conditions. The active ingredient in Apoquel is oclacitinib. It's commonly used to provide relief for dogs suffering from conditions such as allergic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and pruritus (itching) caused by various allergies.

Control of pruritus associated with allergic dermatitis and control of atopic dermatitis in dogs at least 12 months of age.

  • Not for use in dogs with serious infections.
  • May increase susceptibility to infection, including demodicosis, and exacerbate neoplastic conditions.
  • Not for use in breeding dogs, or pregnant or lactating bitches.

    Good stuff!

    Apoquel has been working well for my two allergic pit bulls. One of them still requires Cytopoint injections, but the frequency is significantly less.
